Dear Grace,
I was sorry to hear of Frank's passing this month. I hadn't seen much of him in recent years, but was glad to have been able to introduce 5-year-old Rodney to him in Ames in 2001. I'll always remember our visits many years ago to your cottage in Higganum, where he gave us rides in his tractor scoop and introduced us to 'steeplechase' croquet that forever spoiled the official game for us. Then on Thanksgiving at your home in New Haven, he'd fire up his miniature traction engine for a turn around the kitchen floor.
I also owe to him many hours of engrossment in copies of Punch, Blackwood's, and The Dalesman that he'd send back east. It's perhaps their influence that fixed him in my mind as the ideal American country squire.
Frank's name will be read at our church this Sunday while the bell tolls for All Saints Remembrance.
Regards and sympathy,
John, Judy, Rodney, and Alfred

Dear Grace & family,
My Uncle Jack introduced us many years ago & I know Jack thought the world of both you & Frank. Frank made me a wooden cylinder to use for therapy with my left hand & I still use it. I'm very sorry for the loss of your husband & friend Frank...I miss Jack everyday since he's been gone, as you will Frank. But I have some of the best memories ever, I'll cherish them for all my days.
With Sympathy,
Diane
