Henry Dylan Kenyon was born to Paul and Amber (Parkhurst) Kenyon on May 11, 2007 in Boone, Iowa. He was a seventh grade student at Perry Community Schools. Henry was a friendly, energetic boy who loved people and was loved back by all who knew him. He was a true Iowa Hawkeye Fan and enjoyed watching them play on television with his family; however, he also enjoyed throwing in a “Go Cyclones” tease every now and again. He loved checking the Super Doppler Radar on KCCI.com and reporting the weather. Henry’s happiness was contagious, he said the funniest things, and he could make anyone smile.

Henry is survived by his parents, Paul and Amber Kenyon of Perry; brothers, Brandon, Conner, and Zachary Kenyon; sisters, Haileigh (Ludvin Mejia) and Emma Kenyon; grandparents, Don and Robin Parkhurst and Margo and Chuck Nelson; great-grandparents, Jim and Bev Nelson and Betty Larson; aunts and uncles, Dylan (LaShanda) Parkhurst, Jaime (Tyler) Droegmiller, Deon Parkhurst, Albert (Marsha) Johns, Peter Gelbowitz, James (Janene) Johns, Darla (JL) Cox, Larry (Tamara) Benedict, Mary (Terry) Kimberly, Patty (William) Biondi, Keith (Margie) Kenyon, Linda (Tom) Nevitt, Carol (Ben) Fox, Laurie (Bill) Morgan, Kimberly (Larry) Goodman, Jeff (Cheryl) Kenyon, Susan (Ron) Smith, and Mary Kenyon; and many cousins and friends.

Henry is preceded in death by his grandparents, Lauren and Pat Kenyon; great-grandfather, Jim Larsen; aunt, Debbie Gelbowitz; and uncle, David Kenyon.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Henry’s name may be left or sent to Murdock Funeral Home. Online condolences may be left at murdockfuneralhome.net.
