Obituary For Marval J Seeman

Funeral services for Marval Seeman, 94, Webster City, IA formerly of rural Bouton/Woodward and Perry area will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Bouton, IA. Burial will be in People’s Cemetery, rural Bouton. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until service time at the church. Marvel passed away Saturday, February 1, 2020 in Webster City, IA. Marval Jean was born February 9, 1925 in rural Bouton the daughter of Stephen and Minnie (Capp) Tierney. She graduated from Bouton High School in 1942. Marval worked for Montgomery Ward Store in Perry after graduating. She married Eldon J. Seeman on June 7, 1947 at St. Paul Lutheran Church. They farmed around the Bouton and Perry area until Eldon retired and they moved to Perry. Marval worked as a cashier and bookkeeper from 1955 to 1986 at the J.C. Penney store in Perry. Later working part-time at Ben Franklin and Lake Robbins. She loved making quilts for her family members. She was an active church member and enjoyed visiting with neighbors, friends and family. Marvel has lived the past six years in Webster City. Survivors include her daughters Janice (Dan) Baker, Webster City, IA; Joyce (Dave) Gardiner, Johnston, IA; Grandchildren Karen (Jeffrey) Albright, Fayetteville, NY; Matt (Keisha) Cretsinger, Huxley, IA; Amanda (Kaelyn) Jennings, Cedar Rapids, IA; Adam (Amanda) Gardiner, Dallas Center, IA; Brad Baker, Clive, IA; Jeff (Shawna) Baker, Boone, IA; great-grandchildren Niyah and Griffin Cretsinger, Ariana (Hunter) Holland, Amya Lucas, Dominic, Cecelia and Quinn Gardiner and Cody Baker. Memorials in Marval’s name may be left or sent to Murdock Funeral Home, Perry, IA.
